Aflac NI Hits the Streets for the Craic 10k

On St Patrick's Day morning, while most of Belfast was still warming up for the festivities, 20 of #ourbrood were lacing up their runners at Belfast City Hall for the Spar Craic 10k 2026. This was the fifth time we've sponsored this amazing event, which brings together the whole community and champions wellbeing and inclusivity. The energy was brilliant from start to finish. Weeks of training together paid off as the team tackled the course in great spirits, with three runners crossing the line in under 40 minutes — a fantastic achievement. 

All of our teams and practices were represented on the day and that mix made it special, but the real highlight was the camaraderie on display. As each runner finished, they headed straight back to the finish line to cheer on their teammates , and that says everything about the culture we've built here. At Aflac NI team work is key - whether that's delivering software or keeping our organisation secure. The same qualities that make us strong in the office, supporting each other, showing up, pushing through the tough stretches were on full display on race day. Employee wellbeing is something we invest in all year round, and events like the Craic 10k are a big part of that. A huge well done to everyone who took part, and here's to the next one!
